One-off customization for branded experiences

Custom print houses like Moo and Modern Postcard have been around a while and served a pretty broad market, but their goods were a little too small to have a major impact on architecture. For presentations, Lost Luggage and Case Envy have provided some really great presentation materials, but still nothing that can be used in the architecture.  These are great tools to make the pitch or to use as attractions, but what if I need a totally custom graphic to really make things sing?

Ixxi out of the Netherlands has created a stunningly simple and modular graphic hanging system and then it is up to you to design the graphic that goes on each little synthetic waterproof cards.  Great for huge walls graphics, hanging banners or even a DIY in booth event where guests can hang cards themselves to create an image.

Images can be whatever you want, single color chips to create a low res image.
Or a detailed photo/graphic spread across all the panels. But what about branded upholstery you ask?  Sure that custom bench can be branded, just upload you art toSpoonflower.  Spoonflower allows you to upload and print your own pattern on a variety of fabrics.  There is an upholstery weight cotton twill as well as a voile so go ahead, make your own padded seat with some matching drapes!

Print your own fabric or choose from other user’s patternsThe bottom line? The DIY and maker culture are making their way to the web and in turn opening up a whole new set of materials for branded experience designers.
