Patterned by Nature is an electronic sculpture that uses low resolution, low power LCDs that have 256 shades of opacity to show how humans see patterns in nature.

The result is fascinating.  Even at this low resolution your eye fills in the blanks.

Keep this in mind the next time you reach for your video technology palette.  Not everything needs to be HD or 6mm LED to tell a story.
