Here’s what’s new this week in e2d2 Links.
Layar is a simple way to add digital content to print material and has built in buttons and hotspots to simplify the whole process.
123D is a new product from Autodesk that lets you design forms for 3D printing or to be cut out of thin substrates to make your own cardboard toys! It also has a cool 3D web viewer and camera capture function.
Cold Play’s Fuzzyman is pure on the fly video miraculousness! Fuzzyman visuals for Coldplay / Charlie Brown / X-Factor from Universal Everything on Vimeo.
Sketch-Lite Productions has a huge array of vacuum formed panel textures for the next time you need an exhibit with a brick or vinyl siding look.
Finally, a US distributor for Japanese colored paper tape. A great low tech tool for the designer arsenal.
A couple of inflatable vendors added to the links:
Big Air Productions has some pretty detailed shapes and interesting materials (especially the teddy bear fur).
Airworks has some interesting (and a couple of NSFW) rental items including this 15m tall inflatable walking man that glides along on four hovercraft bases.
