As part of the Early Ford V-8 Museum, the Floyd Collection Gallery houses the only complete collection of 1936 V-8 Fords. Donated by Joe Floyd, the collection contains one of every available body style for the 1936 model year including a one of a kind stainless steel finish sedan.
As creative director and lead designer, my role was to create a gallery that highlighted the beauty of the 1936 Ford, the variety of options, a sales floor experience, and several day in the life vignettes to show how the different models might have been used by customers.
Treatment, theme and Style Development
This treatment was developed along with the curator to visualize the thematic and stylistic expression for the experience.
Filled with Art Deco touches, the austere and simple style of the concept allows the beauty of the vehicles to shine. But the look never goes over the top as these vehicles were being sold at the height of the Great Depression.
